Profile: Professor Li Yong, born in August 1975, is a Chief Physician, specializing in the surgical management of gastrointestinal diseases and cancers. He is also a Doctoral Supervisor and associate Post-Doctoral Supervisor. Currently, he serves as the Vice-President of the Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital (Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China) and the President of Ganzhou Municipal Hospital (Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, China).

Academic background: He is holder of a Master’s Degree in Surgery (2000-2003), and a Doctorate Degree in Oncology (2003-2006) from the Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China). He also had been a visiting scholar in University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (Cleveland, United States) in 2016.

• Holder of 5 patents, presided over 10 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, with a scientific research fund of more than 2 million yuan.
